Dartmouth In Bloom is a very active organisation and many of the restaurants, guest houses, pubs, shops and residents join wholeheartedly in the annual scramble to make the very most of their floral displays and maybe catch the eye of the Judges and win a prize. The town is always a hot contender for the Britain In Bloom competition and has in the past won the title. The Royal Avenue Gardens are a delight thorghout the year.
Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway
Enjoy the nostalgia of the steam train, admire the Beautiful coastal and Countryside views for a lovely excursion. The Round Robin combines a trip by boat to Totnes, a bus to Paignton and steam train to Kingswear, or visa versa.
If you are a golfer Dartmouth Golf and Country Club is not to be missed. It has a challenging Championship Course and a 9 hole par 66 course, both are surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife.
